Usage notes
As a suffix -բան (-ban) was used in calques from Ancient Greek to translate λόγος (lógos) in words like θεο-λόγος (theo-lógos) or θεο-λογία (theo-logía), which were rendered as աստուածաբան (astuacaban) and աստուածաբանութիւն (astuacabanutʿiwn), respectively.
