     Our data showed that magnolol supplementation greatly reduced serum and muscle proinflammatory cytokine levels, NF-κB activation, and CRP, a biomarker of systemic inflammation [39 ], compared with that in the TGC group, suggesting that the anti-inflammatory effect of magnolol may be involved in its anticachectic activity.
