Usage notes
The suffix 면 (myeon) is appended to the sequential form. If the stem ends in ㄹ (l), the ㄹ (l) does not fall out.
- E.g. 푸르다 (푸르니/푸르면) (pureuda (pureuni/pureumyeon), “blue”) → 푸르면 (pureumyeon, “if blue”)
- 울다 (우니/울면) (ulda (uni/ulmyeon), “to cry”) → 울면 (ulmyeon, “if crying”)
