Usage notes

Used in Argentina and Mexico, and quite possibly elsewhere. The verb "to monitor" should be translated as monitorizar in Standard Spanish. Monitorear is not officially accepted by the RAE (Real Academia), although it is included in the "Diccionario panhispánico de dudas" (2005) de la Real Academia Española.
