Etymology
From the Taíno name for Puerto Rico, Boriquen Boricuas were the natives who lived in what is known today as Puerto Rico (Borinquen). Boricua (Puerto Rican) means "Brave and noble lord". Borinquen means "Land of the brave and noble lords".
