Brunner's gland (plural Brunner's glands)
- One of the compound tubular submucosal glands found in that portion of the duodenum which is above the hepatopancreatic sphincter. Their main function is to produce a mucus-rich alkaline secretion to protect the duodenum from acidic chyme and to lubricate the intestinal walls.
