냄비 • (naembi)
From earlier 남비 (nambi) (1938), which is borrowed from Japanese 鍋 (なべ) (nabe, “pot”). The pronunciation shift was due to regressive assimilation by the second vowel ㅣ (i). Standardized in 1988.
