実感 ‎(shinjitai kanji, kyūjitai kanji 實感, hiragana じっかん, romaji jikkan)

1. actual feeling

   嬉 (うれ)しいというのが実感 (じっかん)だ

   ureshii to iu no ga jikkan da

   What I really feel is happiness.

2. the feeling when it hits one, the feeling of something when it sinks in or registers

   宝 (たから)くじを当 (あ)てたが、実感 (じっかん)が湧 (わ)かない。

   Takarakuji o ateta ga, jikkan ga wakanai.

   It still hasn't really hit me yet that I actually won the lottery.
