天竺楽 ‎(hiragana てんじくがく, romaji tenjikugaku)

1. Those pieces of music within the gagaku genre that purportedly originated in India.

   Previously viewed as the same as 林邑楽 (りんゆうがく, ​Rin'yūgaku), with differing theories about specific pieces. Some of the gagaku titles included in this category are:

   • 抜頭 (ばとう, ​Batō)
   • 陪臚 (ばいろ, ​Bairo)
   • 胡飲酒 (こんじゅ, ​Konju)
   • 迦陵頻 (かりょうびん, ​Karyōbin)
